This surfer, unlike the first one is compleatly aware of his imminate danger. By looking at this angle I would say that this shark is roughly six and a half feet in length. That is a pretty good size for a shark, i can only imagine the thoughts running through this brave man's mind at this second. If you look at the angle of his board he doesnt appear to be turning around. He is planning on taking this wave in spite of the horror inside it. This may seem like a crazy idea but this is what surfers do every time they catch a wave, although they cant see the actual shark, they know that it is there. This guys has a bit of an advantage actually, if you can see the danger you can avoid it correct? If you cannot see it, there is no way to know how to avoid it. Even swimmers face this danger as demonstrated in this next picture...
When you first look at this picture it seems as though the surfer is in danger. If you close your eyes and extend the photo to the shore you would see that the shark is in the direct path of the swimmers, not the surfer. Sharks are missunderstood, like me. To others they are portreyed as vicious and blood thirsty, this is not true. If and when the attack us it is only because they felt threatened by us. We have to remember that the ocean is their home. Look at it this way, if some person that you didnt know came into your house and just started hanging out like it was their property what would you do? You would defend your terf and your family. While we have guns, knifes, and our own fists, the sharks only means of defense is their teeth.
I have a massive amount of respect and understanding for these complex and gentle creatures. I hope you will understand where I am coming from with this and will goin me in rebeling against the vicious claims and actions put on the innocent sharks.
